Intellectual Property Attorney

Mike_Headshot_2_compressed.jpg

After graduating from Marquette University with a background in Biomechanical Engineering, Michael Leinauer began law school with the goal of assisting entrepreneurs with obtaining Intellectual Property protection for their innovative ideas.   Having started his career in a large private practice law firm, Michael joined CreatiVenture Law, LLC to further fufill that mission in a more client centered, personal atmosphere.

Dedication to the Client

Michael serves a broad base of clients from individual inventors to Fortune 100 companies with innovations ranging from advanced medical devices, to alternative energy technology, to sporting equipment.  He understands the varying needs of large corporate entities versus individuals.  Michael takes a common sense approach when evaluating each client’s portfolio.  What is best for one client may not be ideal for others, and you can't put  any two clients in the same box.  Rather, Michael is dedicated to getting to know each innovator and business personally and make sure they reach their goals with no hassles and soaring costs.

Michael’s expertise includes:

·  Patent and Trademark preparation and prosecution.

·  Patent and Trademark searches and opinions

·  Copyright

·  IP Counseling

As a constant tinkerer, Michael likewise fancies himself an inventor.  He has even filed for patent protection on some of his ideas.  Michael’s own interest in inventing further pushes him to strive for the best interests of his clients.
